Who actually installs it?

SEC electricians. Other local solar brands will sell you a system and send a partner — sometimes that partner is us. If you come here, there is no second company. Design, board, roof, CoES: one crew.

Do you offer a workmanship guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lifetime workmanship on our installation labour. Material faults and equipment sit with the manufacturer warranty. We stay on the same phone number after switch-on.

I’ll get three quotes. Why you?

Fair. Put our written quote next to the cheap one and check three lines: who is on the roof, whether the board is in the price, and the SAA / REC numbers. We do the site visit. Catalogue quotes from a Melbourne desk often skip all three.

A Melbourne company is thousands cheaper.

They are quoting a catalogue and a partner. Sometimes that partner is us. If we install it for them, you still wait on a helpdesk when the inverter faults in February. Call us direct — same crew, no second company, board as its own line.

Do I need a new switchboard?

Accepted Answer

If it still has ceramic fuses, yes. Legal, not upsell. A solar inverter and a battery will not sit on that legally. Typical Echuca weatherboard is $1,200–$2,200 including inspector and prescribed CoES, as its own line — not buried in the solar. Photo now and we tell you before we come. Power stays off until the inspector signs; that is Energy Safe, not us being difficult.

Are rebates ending this week?

No. That is a door-to-door line. What is true: PV deeming is 5 years in 2026 and 4 years from 1 January 2027. Battery STCs already tier from 1 May 2026 — about $258/kWh on the first 14 kWh, then less. Solar Vic is still $1,400 if household taxable income is under $150,000 and the property is under $3m. Waiting does not make hardware cheaper faster than the certificates shrink.

I’ll wait for batteries to get cheaper.

Hardware might. The certificate will not. First 14 kWh is where the federal discount lives; past 28 kWh you are buying backup, not subsidy. Size the battery to the evening load, not the brochure.

Can you quote without a site visit?

A board photo and a bill get you a starting number. We still want 45 minutes on the roof. Shading, asbestos meter panels and cable height are what blow a desktop quote. The sale happens on the property, not in the inbox.

How much does a solar system cost after rebates?

Accepted Answer

Indicative after-STC ranges in 2026 often start around $6,500–$9,000 for a typical 6.6 kW home system. Victorian Solar Homes support (up to $1,400) and the federal battery discount (tiered from May 2026) reduce this further where you qualify. Board upgrades are not in that range. Use the nine-step builder, then we confirm on a written quote.

What is the SEC500 offer?

Quote code SEC500 for $500 off eligible solar and/or battery projects until 31 December 2026. One code per household. Cannot be stacked with other SEC cash discounts unless we confirm in writing. Does not apply to service call-outs only.

How does the referral offer work?

The same number: 0438 897 456. Health checks, inverter faults, monitoring offline, existing-system repairs — any brand on the roof, as long as it is safe to work on. Lifetime workmanship on our labour.

Lynx F G2 is the high-voltage stack that pairs with a GoodWe hybrid (EHB / EH / ET): 3.2 kWh modules, 6.4–28.8 kWh in one tower. 22.4 kWh is seven modules plus the PCU. We pick from the board, the inverter that’s already there, and the evening load — not from a brochure.
